Bansko doesn't have its own airport, but four international airports are within a few hours' drive. Sofia is the closest and best connected. Thessaloniki, Plovdiv and Skopje are good alternatives depending on your route and fares.
- Sofia (SOF): about 2-2.5 hours by road. The main gateway, with the most flight choices.
- Thessaloniki (SKG): about 3 hours. A large Greek airport that often has competitive fares.
- Plovdiv (PDV): about 3.5 hours. A smaller, quieter airport with fewer routes.
- Skopje (SKP): about 3.5 hours. Worth checking for low-cost flights.
